Mostostal Warszawa S.A. is one of the largest construction companies in Poland;

acting as the general contractor, it carries out investments in all key sectors of the construction market in Poland and abroad. The company has been operating in Poland for over seven decades and this has borne fruit in the form of the implementation of all types of construction facilities: general, industrial, environmental, energy, infrastructural and road. In the course of its history, the company has acquired significant experience in developing steel structures and technological installations for the petrochemical and chemical industries. The company combines the long-term tradition of Polish engineering with the use of state-of-the-art technologies. Mostostal Warszawa has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange almost since the very beginning of the domestic capital market. The major shareholder in the company is Acciona Infraestructuras, a Spanish company of Group Acciona which operates in more than 30 countries around the world in the infrastructure, renewable energy, clean technology and water management sectors. Mostostal Warszawa is the main shareholder in several companies making up the Mostostal Warszawa Capital Group.

Innovation in business is one of the key values of Mostostal Warszawa, which is the first company in the entire construction industry in Poland which established its own research and development division (2005). The R&D division prepares innovative technologies used to strengthen the company’s competitive edge. Currently, the division has a team of 13 experienced researchers, a production facility for composite materials and an asphalt and aggregate laboratory. Mostostal Warszawa supports new technologies and not only invests in the development of the company, but also, and more importantly, invests in Polish engineering accomplishments. The research and development division cooperates with almost all significant research units in Poland and with numerous centres abroad. The company’s interests include: the application of new construction materials, energy efficiency and sustainable construction as well as communication and information technologies supporting production processes. During its history, the research and development division has completed over thirty R&D projects co- financed within framework programmes of the European Commission and structural funds managed by state agencies.
